Hosting (GitHub Pages)

This website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit the site, GitHub processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL and time of access in server log files. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). More in GitHub’s privacy statement.

Cookies and local storage

Without your consent, this website does not set cookies for analytics or advertising. Only your choice in the cookie settings is stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), which is technically necessary.

Consent management (Klaro)

We use the open-source tool Klaro to obtain and manage your consent. Klaro is served from our own domain; no data is transferred to third parties for this. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4

With your consent (categories “Visitor statistics” and “Marketing”) we load Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Through Tag Manager we use Google Analytics 4 for audience measurement, to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. No other services are currently configured in the container; if any are added, they will be named here. Nothing is loaded without your consent. Data such as browser and device information and the pages visited may be transferred and cookies may be set; a transfer to the USA is possible. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw via “Cookie settings”.

YouTube (only if embedded)

YouTube videos only load after your consent (click on “Load once” or “Always load”) and via youtube-nocookie.com. Only then is a connection to YouTube’s servers established (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). More: Google’s privacy policy.

Contact form (Formhook)

If you write to us via the contact form, your details (email address, optionally name, message) are transferred to our form service provider Formhook, which receives them on our behalf and forwards them to us. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider. We use your details only to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once the request has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile): The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). The script only loads after your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG); technical data such as your IP address and browser information is transferred to Cloudflare. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we store the details from your email, including the contact data you provide, to handle your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
